2.30pm Brighton – George 2pts Win (10/3)

Wilson looks like the chief threat here given he has shown a decent enough level of form in just the two starts so is still open to improvement, but he has proved troublesome at the stalls and does carry a penalty today. George is more than just a solid yardstick and thoroughly deserves to get his head in front and today could be the day stepped up to 1m. He boasts some strong form behind the likes of Nebo and Westerland. He ran a blinder on heavy ground at Epsom last time behind a well handicapped rival and can go one better here.

4.40pm Brighton – Spinnaka 2pts Win (10/3)

After finally getting off the mark at the ninth time of asking with a first time visor, Spinnaka tackles a handicap for the first time today with that headgear retained. Going back through her form an opening mark of 75 looks like it could be very much on the lenient side. The form of her win last time out has worked out well with the second winning a maiden comfortably since. Luca Cumani’s horses are running well at present and this unexposed filly can prove she’s better than this mark.
