4.00pm Newbury – Highland Pass 0.5pts Each Way (18/1 Betfair, 16/1 General)
Highland Pass kept some decent company last season, particularly when not beaten far at Newmarket by Urban Fox and Unforgetable Filly. She ran very well first time up at Chester this season when finishing second, which is strong form with the first and fourth now rated in the 90’s and the third 83. Highland Pass won at that same track next time out. Her only try over a mile she didn’t get a clear run so that can be forgiven and she drops in class from what she contested at Haydock last time. She’s had a little break and should be spot on for this, this trip and soft ground should put more of an emphasis on stamina which will suit her given she’s a half-sister to the both very talented Elm Park and Brorocco. She has a race in her off a mark of 75 and looks overpriced.
