3.15pm Catterick – Turanga Leela 2pts Win (4/1)
Ian Williams is going well at the moment with 6 winners from his last 29 runners and his Turanga Leela can add to that tally today. She’s been keeping better company than this in recent times, the last time she was in a Class 4 she won off a mark just 3lbs lower than this. The soft ground shouldn’t be an issue for her and can take advantage of this drop in class.
3.25pm Chepstow – Rock On Oscar 2pts Win (11/4)
A good race for a standard Tuesday afternoon where the in form Paul Nicholls has a potentially exciting chase prospect in Rock On Oscar. He hasn’t been seen since May last year but that was his chase debut in which he jumped very well indeed. Splitting the talented pair of Virgilio and Theinval, that is a solid piece of form and with his career very much lying over the larger obstacles, can make a successful start to the season.
4.40pm Wolverhampton – Iconic Sunset 2pts Win (7/2)
James Tate’s colt made a winning start on his all-weather debut last time out and can follow up here. An opening mark of 74 for his Nursery debut doesn’t look too harsh at all judged on his previous outings. He pushed Albishr close on just his second start with future winners Chai Chai and Dark Acclaim in behind which is the pick of his form. Not stopping at 7f last time this step up in trip should suit.
