2.25pm Musselburgh – Chestnut Ben 1pt Each Way (8/1)

This is a pretty weak looking affair and the 12 year old Chestnut Ben looks set to outrun his odds. He is 2 from 3 over course and distance (including one win off 115), the one of those that he didn’t win he was a neck second. He’s 4lbs lower than his last winning mark and he should be ready to go following his reappearance run last month.

3.10pm Chepstow – Red Rising 2pts Win (15/8)

Dan Skelton has shown he can ready one in recent weeks with the likes of North Hill Harvey and Born Survivor putting in good performances first time up. Red Rising looks like he’s got off very lightly off a mark of 120 on his handicap debut, he beat Testify in a Point to Point who is rated 134 over hurdles. He then won a Novice hurdle very easily on his only start of last season. If ready to go, he could potentially make a mockery of this opening mark.
