Wednesday 15th November

1.45pm Bangor – Potters Legend 2pts Win (3/1)

After securing a couple of wins over the larger obstacles in this month last year (one at this track), Potters Legend consistently ran well in high quality races, including in a Grade 2 at Doncaster and the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival. He should come on for his reappearance run where he wasn’t given a hard time. I’m adamant he has a race in him off this sort of mark and today looks a good opportunity to get his head back in front.

3.10pm Ayr – Knockanrawley 2pts Win (9/4)

Knockanrawley finished third in a Grade 3 Handicap Chase on his reappearance run in 2015 off 4lbs higher than today, he’s also 1lb lower than when second in the Eider Chase last season. He looks to be on a very dangerous mark in what looks a weaker affair than he has previously been contesting. This testing ground should make this trip a greater test of stamina which will play into his hands. Kim Bailey is in good form with 5 winners from his last 21 runners and with Mikey Hamill taking off 5lbs, Knockanrawley can make a winning return to action.
