1.20pm Haydock – Sainte Ladylime 2pts Win (7/2)

Sainte Ladylime put it all together last time when beating a good horse in Happy Diva. Her jumping has sometimes been a bit dodgy but if repeating last months performance then she’ll win this race. Heavy ground won’t be an issue, neither will the drop back in trip. Based on her efforts against the 142 rated Antartica De Thaix and her win last time, this mark of 132 still looks very workable for her. Kim Bailey is operating at a 24% strike rate for the last fortnight and another winner can be added here.

1.30pm Ludlow – Late Night Lily 2pts Win (7/2)

The Skelton’s are flying at the moment, from their last 5 runners they’ve had 3 winners, one fall when he likely would have won and one runner up. They team up with Late Night Lily in this Mares Handicap Hurdle who should have a handicap in her off a mark of 127. She won three on the spin last season but has been out of luck so far this year. But her third in a Listed race behind a pair of subsequent winners last time out at Wetherby looks a strong piece of form and in receipt of almost a stone from Midnight Jazz, should take plenty of beating.

2.35pm Ludlow – Gayebury 2pts Win (2/1)

Gayebury receives 10lbs from the favourite Mr Mix here and on ratings is very much the one to beat. He’s been a bit hit and miss, but following his pipe openers over hurdles I think now could be the time to catch him. He’s got some really strong form in the book behind Willoughby Court and also when beating Forza Milan, Jury Duty and Robbin’hannon. Back in a small field should play to his strengths and if taking to fences on chasing debut, he’ll take a lot of stopping.
