2.25pm Ascot – L’Ami Serge 2pts Win (11/2)

Unowhatimeanharry is understandably the favourite here and I think a few of these younger unexposed horses are a bit underpriced, although I think Sam Spinner will give this a good go. 3 miles will be the making of L’Ami Serge in my opinion, when stepped up to it in France on his penultimate start he won in good style from a subsequent Grade 1 winner. He’s very consistent and better off at the weights with Lil Rockerfeller from their run at this track last time, he can reverse the form and then some. At 11/2 he is the stand out value in the race.

3.00pm Ascot – On Tour 1pt Each Way (8/1)

This is a great race where many have live chances, but I cannot get away from Evan Williams’ On Tour. On reappearance at Aintree last month he looked as though he was getting outpaced over 2m4f, but he couldn’t have been any stronger at the finish and won going away with what I think was a bit in hand. At Newbury last time he came there absolutely swinging until unseating 4 out and he’s been left on the same mark today. Mitchell Bastyan is a steal for his 5lb claim and I’ll really be surprised if On Tour isn’t in the mix at his first crack at 3 miles.
