3.45pm Haydock – Intisaab 2pts Win (5/2)
A very consistent performer for David O’Meara, Intisaab actually competed in the July Cup last year and wasn’t disgraced in 7th behind Harry Angel. He only gained the one win on the all-weather over the winter, but he went over to Doha on his penultimate start and won a valuable turf race. A small field isn’t necessarily what this horse wants, but he’ll run his race and I think that’ll be good enough given Dancing Star has a long absence to overcome.
7.45pm Thirsk – Marseille 2pts Win (11/2)
Being a half-sister to Marsha and Judicial, it’s very feasible that Marseille is yet to get started as she’s only just started her four year old season. She’s been consistent without getting her head in front too often, only once in fact, but at Newcastle last time she produced an eye-catching run from the back where not many got involved, without being given much of a hard time. She still has plenty of potential off a mark of just 73 and this looks like an ideal race for her.
